Principal's Corner

Welcome to Crofton Elementary.

My name is Chris Guier and it is my honor to be principal of Crofton Elementary..  The faculty and staff work hard each day to help our students grow both academically and socially.  We are very proud of our students' accomplishments inside and outside of the classroom.

I am a product of Christian County Public Schools.  After graduation from Hopkinsville High School, I earned my Bachelor's in Interdisciplinary Studies from Austin Peay State University.  Then I earned a Master's in Literacy from Walden University.  I also hold a Master's in School Administration from Murray State University.  I am married to Jaclyn, a Kindergarten teacher at Pembroke Elementary School, and have two sons, Jackson and Caden.

I began my teaching career at Holiday Elementary in 2003 where I taught 1st and 4th grade.  When Holiday was closed in 2015, I was selected to serve as one of the assistant principals of Freedom Elementary School.  I served there until February 2021 when I was placed at Crofton to fill a sudden vacancy.  The faculty, staff and students quickly welcomed me into the Cougar family.  This is truly a great place for students to learn and faculty and staff to work.  We work diligently each day to meet the needs of all our students.

Crofton Elementary truly is a great place for all.  We look forward to working with families to help our students continue to grow and achieve each year.

Let's have a great school year!

Chris Guier
